Ingredients

To Make Quick Honey Syrup:

  • 1 ounce honey

  • 1 ounce boiling water

To Make Cocktail:

  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 3/4 ounce quick honey syrup

  • 2 ounces anejo rum

  • Dash Angostura bitters

  • Ice

  • Garnish: lime wedge

Directions

  1. To make quick honey syrup, stir boiling water into honey in a heatsafe container. Make sure honey is completely dissolved and let cool.

  2. Add lime juice, 3/4 ounce honey syrup, rum, and bitters to a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well until very cold. Strain into cocktail glass and serve up with lime wedge.
