  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 ounces cream cheese

  • 2 tablespoons nonpareils sprinkles

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  2. In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla.

  4. Divide dough into two pieces and cover with plastic wrap. Let chill in refrigerator for at least one hour.

  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
