Vanessa Chiasson started her writing career as a blogger, chronicling her travel adventures at TurnipseedTravel.com. Her very first freelance piece was a study of Hawaiian coffee farms and agriculture, farming, baking, and food frugality often informs her work. Living and working in Newfoundland as a graduate student not only introduced Vanessa to chips, dressing, and gravy (one of her favourite meals!).
